Hey @Pasta, I just wanted to chime in and say thank you for sharing this! A 'filter' is such an interesting way of explaining things, and it's so true - everything we do and everyone we meet is coloured by our own lens based on who we are and what we've experienced. I think it's really admirable that you're working on building your self-awareness and reshaping your filter for the better, good on you!
I really like what you've said about trying to mend problems if you've got a true friendship with someone. It's taken me a long time to find the good friends I have now, and sometimes, inevitably, problems do come up. Instead of instantly shutting down, which was once my default setting, I try and be honest and talk through issues I'm having with friends that I consider to be 'worth the trouble' now, and that's allowed me to hold onto some people I consider to be lifelong friends. Great advice 😋
