@Pasta you wrote this post so beautifully, and it's a really inspiring way to change how you look at the world. i resonate with "Be open minded, empathetic & respectful." i drive a lot for my work so i always encounter people driving...let's say differently to how i would choose to drive. it used to really irritate me and i would stew on one bad driver for the whole drive home then rant about it to my family, who i'm sure have gotten sick of it. i saw a video with very similiar advice as yours and i've been trying to implement that in my drives home.
when i encounter some going very slow on the highway, instead of getting frustrated, i try to be open-minded, empathetic, and respectful. i say to myself "they might have just gotten a new car so they're being cautious with it" or "there might be an animal in the car so they're driving extra safely". it's amazing how just a small thing can completly change how i feel as i get way less frustrated now and i'm much happier when i get home.
