Hey there @waddlet hope you're doing okay - it sounds like a heavy day at work.
It can be hard when your job is high-pressure and comes with a lot of responsibility. It's even trickier when you're still learning the ropes, so I can understand why you decided to ask for some advice with this situation.
The most important thing I'd like to say is that you are not a bad worker! Just by reading this post, I can see that you're someone who cares about the impact they make in their role. I can imagine it's difficult to witness residents fall, though - has the clinical care coordinator offered you any support?
We're all learners at some stage, and these incidents can be how we learn and excel in our work 😌 Do you think it would be helpful to chat with someone at work that you trust? There might be things you'd like to discuss your workload/responsibilities etc, that could help with the areas of your role that you need some guidance with.
It sounds like this situation has been pretty stressful for you, and I was wondering if your workplace offers an EAP service? If they do, you should be able to access a workplace counsellor to debrief about the incident, which is a super important thing to avoid burnout at work! Heres an article about burnout that I thought you might like to read.
Take care, and hope to hear back from you 😊
P.S
