One of my favourite memories:
When we were staying in our first place and I was about four years old, my mum tried baking a cake for us for the first time. I had never had cake before or seen someone bake, so just that feeling of anticipation watching it rise, savouring the smell throughout the house and then getting to eat it. It was a plain vanilla essence cake but probably my favourite cake I've ever had just because we all so collectively invested in it and amazed at the end.
Something I'm looking forward to:
I was actually inspired by someone on the forums (@Red_Flamingo ) and am planning to bake bread for the first time this week. I'm excited because I've never done it before and hope it will go okay. But even if it doesn't, I'm kind of just keen for the process.
