Cya (again)

Hey,

I have left a couple of times over the past 12 months or so, but it is really time for me to leave here for good. I haven’t got anything to else to say that I haven’t said in previous posts about how thankful I am for the opportunity to use this space for so long, the patience, kindness, and bravery to share, shown every day on this site is like nothing I have been part of.

So I guess this is it isn’t it?
For real.
Like actually for real, I’m too old.

Hey @Saltwaterdreamtime I'm not sure what to say either- I'm bad at goodbyes 😢 You've brought so much to the forums, from the memes and positives of each day, to sharing with us how you and your family are growing, to teaching us so much on the AMAA you led. Like others have said, it's truly been a privelage just to have been there for a small part of your story, I feel like I've learnt a lot (though I've got a lot more to learn!) and that's the amazing part of hearing other people's stories. So thank you for letting us be a small part of yours ❤️

You have always been so brave, honest, and open on here and you've truly been a role model to all of us. Not only with the positive stuff you've brought but also the times when you've been open about some really tough stuff. Idk I feel it shows we can do and accomplish so many amazing things and still struggle with stuff and that it's okay and even brave to be open about stuff

So thank you and I wish you and your family all the best ❤️ You've got this! Cya 🙂

Hey @Saltwaterdreamtime

I haven't been around on the forums as much as I used to but I definitely agree with everyone else, I'll really miss seeing you around and hearing about your wonderful family! Your AMAA was so amazing and invaluable (and it's cool that we're on the same country)! You always brought so much wisdom to this site.

I wish you all the best for the future! ❤️

@Saltwaterdreamtime we haven't known each other for all that long, but we've bonded over our kids' lockdown performances. 🤣

It's been a privilege to 'meet' you and I've really admired your self-awareness and courage in sharing here on the forums.

Saying goodbye is always a hard thing to do, but for what it's worth I believe in the old saying that when one door closes, another one opens - I really hope the door that opens for you is a great one.

Wishing you all the very best things in life - you absolutely deserve them.

Take care. 💛

Awww @Saltwaterdreamtime - it's unusual for me to have trouble thinking of what to say, but it's happened now!

It's been an absolute pleasure to get to know you a bit over the last 18ish months that I've been a part of ReachOut, being a small part of your journey has been such a privilege. It's pretty wild to think about how much you've been through in the time you've been a part of this community - thinking about where you were when you first started posting, and where you are now, is kind of amazing.

You've been a huge part of this place.

A few of my favourite things:

This amazing AMAA with YOU!  Thanks for being so generous with your time and for teaching us all about the Arrente people, your culture, and your experiences as a proud Arrente man

This EPIC memes thread

This DIY Quiet Comfy Spot post: I've made myself one at my house this lockdown 🙂

It seems only right to leave you with a few Dad jokes: I know we've always really appreciated your great sense of humour, and as a dad of 2 now I'm sure you'll have many opportunities to use some terrible dad jokes in the future!!

🙌🏻 Taught 3y/o to say "where is that persons body" etc when someone wheres camouflage and it's the best thing I have ever taught him. I feel so accomplished@Janine-RO He doesn't get it, but it's still funny.

Hahhaa that is classic @Saltwaterdreamtime ! We've been teaching our 4 year old some knock knock jokes, his favourite one is the "interrupting cow" one.. which he only gets right about 50% of the time. The other times are also hilarious, because he then yells "OH NO! I FORGOT TO MOO! " and cracks himself up

"Knock, knock"
"Who's there?"
"Interrupting cow"
"Interrupting c---"
"MOOOOOO!"
