Tied my hair up at School and it went pretty well

  1. This is a bit of a long one (and I didn't know many places else to put this but it relates back to gender to me ) sorry if it's confusing to read, it's a bit late

So today at school I tied my hair up and it went just how I thought, alot of my friend kept saying that I looked like a girl (there were some more creative ones like an eb games worker) but it was really fun and got me in a really good mood, and now I'm wondering on how I can make people think that a bit more, there are school uniforms (obviously) but what would be some things to get a similar response by tweaking and messing with the uniform. (I always wear a jacket and long pants so it makes people pretty confused but I reckon I could tweak it a bit)

Hi @Genderthief it's awesome that experimenting with your hairstyle made you feel happy, and the people around you sound absolutely awesome! Is there anything you noticed people do that you've been wanting to try? Some people I know would put iron on motifs or embroider something they like on their uniform to put a bit of themselves in it. Would your school allow that?

Considering my school allows colour hair and stuff I would think so, I don't think they would even notice any changes

Hi there @Genderthief, it is so cool to hear that wearing your hair tied up at school was a great experience for you. It sounds like experimenting with your style has been a step in the right direction for you, and that must be such a nice feeling. I am sure plenty of community members will have some suggestions on other ways you can tweak your style to feel more like yourself.

I came across some of your other threads and it was really amazing to hear that you have friends who are supportive of you, and some that are going through something similar to you. I wonder if any of the friends in the same boat as you might have some suggestions on styles to experiment with at school?

Thanks for keeping us updated on your journey 💞
