Have more questions about self Injury? Start the conversation here!

We just finished a HUGE discussion with special guest Sarah Swanell who is an expert at understanding causes of self injury, different ways of coping and how to get support, or support people you care about who might self-injure.

Because there was so much to talk about, we're creating this thread to keep talking. Although unfortunately we won't have Sarah with us.

Have a read of this thread and let us know your thoughts here!

Has anyone thought about the usefulness of a fresh piercing to combat self harm? Feel like harming yourself? Knock your piercing for a short burst of pain. Of course it would depend upon the reason as to why you are harming.

@stonepixie I don't have any peircings (I want nose or cartilage) so that's out of the question for me, but for some it might work.
