It's the holiday season folks!

WhichPotableGlobefish-max-1mb.gif

This means having to deal with family gatherings, giving and receiving gifts, and experiencing all your holiday traditions. As fun as the holidays can be, however, they can also be difficult.

What's something nice you can do for someone sometime over the Christmas period?

Try to do more work around the house and help out a little more if I can.

5.What's something nice someone has done for you over the Christmas period?

I guess it would have to be my Aunt hosting Christmas when we have it with a lot of the extended fam.  She has a beautiful place and we have a whole lot of toddlers and adults running around the place.  They're always very welcoming which is really nice and even though they have this big house they aren't picky about people making a mess or mucking around a bit.

During Christmas there tends to be a fair few social gatherings with family and friends, what can/do you do to cope if these can cause some difficulties for you?

I find it easy to get through family stuff if I just go into a corner with my sister and my cousin and do a drawing or play a game or something. Have a few people that you know you get along with, and then if you need to you can escape with them 😛

What are some things that can make Christmas harder to deal with?

Everyone expects you to have a happy family. And expect you to go way over budget on presents.
I pretty much don't give gifts and rarely see most of my family.
Another this is the food, as someone with an eating disorder it's very challenging.

Hmm. Dealing with extended family, I guess. (We have an especially political family in a not-so-great way 😕 ). Also it can be financially challenging.

Hey guys!

1. Whats your favourite thing about Christmas?
Oooh, that’s a difficult one - there are so many great things about Christmas! But if I had to choose only one, it would probably have to be the amazing feeling of giving gifts to others, especially to those who are doing tough this Christmas.

1. Whats your favourite thing about Christmas?

Hm, favourite thing about Christmas... honestly, I'm not someone that celebrates holidays and such, although I do have to admit Christmas is a great time to catch up with family and friends. I have family that live on the other side of Sydney and we all have busy schedules, so it's moments like these where we're able to catch up and really enjoy each other's company. 🙂

Oh, and also trying to come up with unique presents for Kris Kringles (although I can't say I was very successful this time around :P)!

Whats your favourite thing about Christmas?

I really like when Christmas is a pretty hot day (except for that one year when there was a bushfire a few kilometres away, eeeep), and then we can go down the beach at like 6 after all of the stressful family stuff is done and just chill out in the water.

Same @roseisnotaplant! I have been to the beach for Christmas too which is really nice.
I think I love the food and I honestly love the presents part of it. Mostly because everyone tries hard to get each other special things, so it is cool to see what people have come up with and what they've secretly remembered throughout the year.

@T4ils Yes that's pretty cool seeing what people have remembered and seeing their reactions 🙂

What are some things that can make Christmas harder to deal with?

  • Financially straining
  • Busy schedules
  • Not having anyone to share it with
  • Feeling responsible for buying presents for people who have bought presents for you
