Introducing...RO'S FIRST ART CHALLENGE

Hey everyone!

It’s time for the first challenge – and it’s slightly squiggly!

Remember this guy?

squiggle.jpg

If that looks unfamiliar, here’s another reminder.

It’s MR SQUIGGLE!

This fella might have a special place in your heart because he taught you how to draw.

Now Mr Squiggle re-enters your life with a newfound purpose…it’s time for ReachOut’s first ever SQUIGGLY CHALLENGE!!

Here’s an example of how this challenge works:

  • Take a look at the pattern or ‘squiggle’ below

squiggle1.gif

  • This is the ‘base’ – at first glance, it might not look much like anything. Until you use your imagination and…

squiggle2.gif

it becomes a winking face...

squiggle3.gif

or a happy camper...

squiggle4.gif or fancy Mr Santa Claus on his sleigh!

So what’s the deal with this challenge?

Other than being SUPER FUN, creating your own squiggle, and seeing what others have turned theirs into, enlightens you to our diverse perspectives and wild imaginations! Plus, it gives you a chance to be a kid again!!

Here's mine! I had to use my trackpad because I don't have a mouse... but not bad for digital!

@lanejane that almost happened to me! I was on the sled, fell off, and the sled went down the side of the mountain! Thankfully it stopped on a tree a few meters down so it wasn't too hard to slid down then climb back up.

Adding mine soon!

I flipped the image upside down to do mine... I hope that's allowed in the rules 😛

I also have no idea where that car is going, but the stick-figures look pretty relaxed about it. (my artistic skills aren't quite as great as Mr Squiggle's)

@lokifish that was so creative of you to decide to flip the image upside down (and yes we'll allow it!)

Hmm...looks like the car is getting ready to do a reverse, up into the sky 🙂

Welcome back!
