How do you manage your anxiety?
Annoying as it is, anxiety is a thing. It's an inconvenient and uncomfortable thing, and it often gets in the way of us doing all of the things we'd like to be doing. In small doses, anxiety can be a good thing, a way of motivating us. In big doses though, it's no good. Luckily, there are a few tips and tricks out there for minimizing anxiety, if not eradicating it completely.
Let's overcome this thing like the community we are, one moment at a time. As @Ben-RO pointed out in their thread about sadness, sometimes putting yourself outside of the issue can be helpful, such as thinking about what you would say to someone in that situation. So...
What would you say to someone who was feeling anxious?
What are two strategies you have for managing your own anxiety?

great thread @letitgo
1. if someone was anxious i would ask them what was casuing this anxiousness and let them talk it out and give them the best advice that i can give and help them try to get through it with appropropraite strategies
2. the first strategy is mindullness- i sue music. i pick a song and then really focus on either jsut the words and what they mean or i focus on jsut the music and find the beat and name all the intruments i can hear
the second strategy is distractions- use anything you cna to keep your mind occupied whether it be reading, drawing, colouring in, creative writing, poem writing, goign for a walk, baking something, studing, playing with pets anything
Thanks for the responses @scared01, sorry my reply is so late. I must have missed this somehow!
I really like that strategy of listening to music as a form of mindfulness by picking out the particular instruments or the lyrics and what they mean. Do you have a particular song/artist that helps you do this?
i also use distractions as a form of strategies as well.
there are so many sorts of distractions, more than what i cna write on here but heres a few examples:
- artwork- drawing, colouring in painting
- journalling or poem writing
- reading a book
- watching a movie
- going for a walk or a run
- talking to a friend or family member
- play on the games threads
