Thanks for tagging me @Bree-RO 🙂
Hey @Anonymous! I don't think we've spoken before, hi! 🙂
I get both the nausea and the chest tightening as symptoms of my anxiety, too. With the tight chest, the best thing I've found is to breathe slowly and deeply. You could try the 4-7-8 breath, where you breathe in for 4 counts, hold your breath for 7 counts, and breath out for 8 counts. There's a ReachOut Breathe app you could try if you want some more guidance around steadying your breathing 🙂 Try not to panic if your chest feels tight - I know it's scary, but it will pass.
I really struggle with the nausea to be honest, I haven't found anything that works very well yet. I know that peppermint tea and heat packs both help a bit, maybe you could try one of those strategies? Nausea is also a side effect of some anti-anxiety/anti-depressant medications, so if you're on anything like that maybe you could have a chat to your doctor and see whether it could be a possible side effect.
Was it you who started the horses thread as well? So cool 🙂 A lot of people find that hanging out with their pets is helpful for anxiety symptoms, so you could also try that as a strategy next time the anxiety hits.
