Fun Things to Do When You're Bored
Hi guys!
I'm so so sorry I haven't been on the forums for a while now! I've been had to take a bit of time to adjust to a new schedule like many others and it's been hard and stressful , but I'm gradually getting used to it and back on the forums. I'd love to hear the things you guys have been up to, to keep yourselves positive and busy while staying at home
Here are some things I've either done personally or heard about from others
1. Play skribbl.io with friends (super fun game and can help you stay connected to others)
2. Facetime friends/family
3. Play Mario Kart on the phone app- you can also play this with friends on multiplayer mode (don't gotta Nintendo switch rip hahaha)
4. Get all dressed up and have a self-care pamper day for yourself- it's nice to get out of sweatpants and hoodies every once in a while!
5. Netlfix Party
6. Have a picnic in your backyard with the family as if you were at a park outside
7. Recreate old childhood pictures with the family
8. Board games!
9. Go outside on a daily walk so that you get some fresh air and exercise in
9. Mindful colouring in/other arts and crafts
10. Find a new hobby (learn a new instrument, try reading new books, learn to cook something new)
Those are my ten! What are some of yours?

@ayrc_1904 Welcome back to the forums! I'm sorry that things have been tough for you lately.
I think this is a great thread! I love games like skribble.io and board games too!
Something I've been looking at recently are tutorials about how to do creative things, like new recipes or scrapbooking. I've been watching them on YouTube but a lot of sites have online classes you can sign up to.
Another nature-related thing you could do is looking at/cataloguing the wildlife and flowers in your backyard and doing some gardening or other things to liven up your house.
Hey @WheresMySquishy!
Thank you! I'm glad to be back
Ooo that's definitely something I'd love to do actually. I want to learn to bake more yummy desserts (definitely have a sweet tooth!) I've also always had an interest in bullet journaling too but never got around to it. Maybe now is the time!
And gardening is such a good idea! I've been meaning to do some because the weeds are starting to grow haha
@ayrc_1904 Bullet journaling sounds fun! I treat one of my apps like a kind of bullet journal.
I've been writing lists of things in a blank notebook such as the things I am grateful for, where I would like to go once the restrictions are listed, affirmations, things I have learnt, restaurants that do deliveries (I've managed to discover a lot of new places to order from), and things like that.
I also tried to do some stargazing! It was a bit cold to go outside recently but I tried to look on some apps and websites for constellations that are visible during this time.
It's also a great time to decorate your room or house and organise your things. 🙂
@WheresMySquishy Aw that sounds really nice! I've been looking for new restaurants that do takeaway too actually. It's definitely important to support smaller businesses especially right now and it's great for me too coz I get yummy food!
Stargazing seems so relaxing... another thing I want to do more of! Nature is so beautiful and can really make you feel so much better.
Love this thread @ayrc_1904! I am finding weekends and afternoons have been peak boredom times for me. I have never played skribbl.io but sounds like a lot of fun!\
Here's a few of my boredom busters:
1. Start a project around the house: At the moment I am repainting the house room by room! Two done already and seven to go 🙂
2. Make a new playlist: I've started adding some new mood playlists
3. Klask! I found this game, kind of like a fusbal table but with magnets!
4. Card games: Just started getting back into nominations with my family (we have big tournaments at Christmas)
5. Spring (or Autumn) cleaning
6. Journaling things I am grateful for. It has helped a lot!
7. Family movie night
I am painting the house light grey @ayrc_1904 🙂
The repetition with painting is incredibly relaxing
How has your week been? What boredom busters have you used this week?
I can imagine @Jess1-RO!
It's why I love doing arts and crafts, and colouring in because there's something so soothing and relaxing about seeing colour gradually fill in blank spaces.
I've been super busy this week actually! Uni has been really stressful but I always manage to give myself free time once during the day and then just relax and wind down after dinner. My boyfriend wanted me to play this game called Stardew Valley which is basically like a game where you build a life on a farm and there are storylines with people in the village that you can develop by building friendships etc. hahaha. It's actually very relaxing and the music helps too. Apparently the game creator made it with the purpose of like getting 'out of the city' and busy life- something I think we all need sometimes!
Other than that, I've just been watching Brooklyn 99 and going on walks. How about you?
HEY @ayrc_1904 !
I really love this post, and one of my favorite things to do with my SO and friends is to play ANY card games we can think of on this site called "playingcards.io"
What's unique about it is that you can see live what cards the person is moving and their mouse acts like a hand.
It also has no rules so you can play whatever you feel like and even makes your own game (they also have premade ones like go fish, matching cards, and even checkers).
Not sure if that made sense but people should definitely check it out
