Thank you for sharing this with us and for being so honest about how you are feeling and where you are at right now 💜 I am sorry to hear that you have been feeling low for such a long time now and that you are having suicidal thoughts. That can be scary and isolating so I am really glad to hear that your KHL counsellor knows about this and that you have a good connection with her.
Since you have finally found a GP that makes you feel like they actually care and who you feel comfortable with, perhaps this is a good opportunity to be open about the suicidal thoughts you are having when you get your blood work reviewed next week? It is completely okay to discuss this with your GP even if you haven't yet mentioned it to your psychologist. If it takes you a while to open up to professionals it makes a lot of sense why you might now have been as honest and open with your new psychologist than you would like to be. That will hopefully come with time 💜 and maybe discussing this with your GP could help you open up a bit more with your psychologist. Most psychologists don't prescribe medication anyway so your GP would be the best person to speak to about this anyway.
I just want to say that it sounds like you are really trying hard to work through this difficult period and you are doing all the right things (and the hard stuff) that will help you mange it all. Thank you for letting us know that you are safe, how have you been managing the thoughts tonight?
