Ah, health anxiety is the worst, and so common! And if you're anything like me, you probably google your symptoms, which often comes up with the worst case scenarios....soooo I hope you aren't googling stuff. Covid does not help with the health anxiety either - both in terms of the wait times and the constant hypervigilance/awareness around being sick and health symptoms.

Breathing is a good option but it's annoying that it's not helping that much. Maybe, if you haven't tried this already, you might want to try coupling the breathing with helpful thoughts like...  "oh well, if I'm sick I'm sick, worrying wont help anything" or thinking about a past time when you thought you were badly sick but found out you were fine, or telling yourself that everything will be okay.

You're right in saying that anxiety can make such symptoms worse. It's annoying how that happens right??? Like, it would be nice if it were the opposite or at least had no impact.
