Thanks for sharing with us! Sounds super fun to be traveling around and it seems that despite the distance you've developed a good connection with this girl. If you were to pursue her what are you looking to get out of it? Something casual or something more committed?

If I were in your shoes I would take your friend's advice and be upfront with her and ask her how she feels about you and the whole situation. As @Sally_RO already mentioned, it will give you a better picture but also don't feel the need to rush if you are not ready. Maybe you can mention to her that once you're back from your trip you want to catch up and have a chat?
