It's @letitgo's time for the spotlight! *excited cheering*
The rules again:
For the next week you can ask letitgo pretty much whatever you want and they'll have a crack at answering as many questions as they can! Remember, they can only give you answers within the guidelines though and don't have to answer right away (or at all)! Other than that though, go nuts!
Comments
hi @letitgo! sorry about the late reply - like by 20 days
Oh I really liked Perks of Being a Wallflower too! I also remember reading a short story by Ray Bradbury - it was really good writing
I can see you really love reading and writing hehe. I haven't been listening to podcasts lately but would like to get back into it. I think I'll start with All in the Mind again 🙂
1. Which is your favourite flower in your garden/house?
2. Can you lick your nose? (And yes, it is possible heehee)
3. Is there one thing you irrationally do for no reason?
@RevzZ ooops, I forgot to answer your third question! Sorry!
Hmmm...there are lots of things I do irrationally, but most of them I can pinpoint some kind of reason for... e.g. there's a tree outside my house, where I park my car, and my car has to be a certain distance away from the tree. If I get out and it's too close, I'll get back in and reverse the car. In my defense, though, spiders have been known to live in that tree. So it's a matter of personal safety!
1. I have a cactus-type thing in a teac cup that I was given for Christmas last year. I've somehow managed to kill it, but it would still have to be my favourite plant in/around the house.
2. You just got me trying (unsuccessfully) for at least 5 minutes to lick my nose. I'm glad no one walked into my room - it would have been a funny sight! So, I cannot lick my nose. (yet! Practise may change that...)
Hi @letitgo!
1. What's your favourite book?
2. Do you have a favourite podcast?
3. What's your favourite ice cream flavour?
Hey @cupcakes_032! Thank you for the questions!
1. Ahhh, that is such a difficult question! The answer often changes. Recently, I loved Henry and June by Anais Nin. I love Sixty Lights by Gail Jones, and I for Isobel by Amy Witting, and The Perks of Being A Wallflower. For a while though, I've been answering this question with Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. I love Bradbury's writing style, and my English teacher read us part of the book in Year 12, so it has that positive association for me as well.
2. Do I have a favourite podcast? Hmm... I have several that I really love, again. But my favourite is probably So You Want to Be A Writer by two authors from the Australian Writer's Centre. I love being able to hear about books/writing even when I'm not able to read/write.
How about you?
3. My favourite ice-cream flavour is cookies and cream!
@Chessca_H You've stumped me with this one! I love sooo many foods! And I'd have to assume that the lack of nutritional balance wouldn't have terrible effects on my health. Based on that assumption, I'd say... salad, because technically I could put anything in a bowl and call it a salad. e.g. chocolate salad, pasta salad, fruit salad. That's a bit of cheating, I know
Yaaay! 😄
Apples or oranges?
What's your favourite pizza topping?
If you could have dinner with any book character, who would you pick and why?
Thanks @N1ghtW1ng!!
Brilliant questions @lokifish!
Hmmm... definitely apples!
My favourite individual pizza topping would be olives. And in terms of general pizza types, vegetarian, because I am of the non-meat-eating variety! Except there can be no pineapple anywhere in the vicinity of the pizza. I am not a pineaplle on pizza person, haha!
Ooooh, as a book worm I adore this question!! I am finding it very hard to answer, though. I'll give you my top 5 and then narrow it down...
1. Isobel from I for Isobel, because I feel like she and I have heaps in common as we're both avid readers and writers and struggle with anxiety/negative self-talk.
2. Finch from All the Bright Places, because I adore that book and, without giving too much away, I'd like to try and change how it ends.
3. Charlie from The Perks of Being A Wallflower because we could be awkward wallflowers together.
4. Luna Lovegood because I love her quirkiness.
5. Becky Bloomwood from Confessions of a Shopaholic, because she's so hilarious and I think her concerns, which are so different from mine, would create an interesting dinner dynamic!
@DruidChild thanks for the questions!!
Yep, my username is most definitely a Frozen reference. I absolutely adore that movie! I can reate so deeply to Elsa and no matter how many times I've seen it, I'm still likely to cry when she leaves Arrendele.
I do have two pets. I have a golden labrador named George. When he was little I had dreams of taking him for walks around the block, but when he grew up that became impossible because he is much too strong for me!
I also have a white and ginger cat called Ali. My brother named him after his favourite athlete, Muhuammud Ali. His purr is one of my favourite sounds.
Your pets sound so sweet @letitgo!! 🙂
P.S I have to disagree with you about All The Bright Places...I think the ending really made the book, I don't think another ending would have worked as well...
Thank you @DruidChild!
Hmmm... that's a good point. Have you read Jennifer Niven's other book, Holding Up the Universe?
