Favourite Video Games?!
As you may already know I love playing video games. I wanted to start a forum on here where people can share the games they like playing it can even be board games or card games.
It might be a great way for people to find new games to play, including myself 🙂

Hey! I love video games. At the moment I have been enjoying getting back into the craze of playing Crash Bandicoot 🙂
If we're talking board games - I like Pizza Party. It's a really simple but funny game of memory where you have to find the toppings to fill your pizza. But there are twists where you have to swap your pizza slice with another person. So you may be one topping away from winning but then someone picks up the pizza slice change and you could end up with a slice that has no toppings collected yet. Very fun with kids and even adults. Haha 🙂
I feel like I've got some dope knowledge to drop in here! (also feel like it's a good place to make my inaugural forum post heh)
I play a wide range of video games, so I'll just make a list of favourites:
- Right now, I'm really into PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS (or PUBG for short) - it's a first and third-person shooter with a battle royale theme, so it's 100 people airdropped onto a map and essentially try to be the last person standing while trying to find weapons, be wary of other players, as well as being cautions of a shrinking map. There's a few of us in the office that play it too!
- Anything made my Supergiant games is nothing short of phenomenal (Bastion, Transistor, etc.). They've practically introduced to me the notion of how much a soundtrack can influence the atmosphere of a game and my god, they do it so damn well. I even listen to their OSTs on a somewhat regular basis cuz their music's that good!
- Stardew Valley is a really mellow top-down 2D pixelated game where you can manage a farm/go fishing/hunt monsters, but it can be played in a slow pace if you just wanna take it easy. The characters in the game a have a fair amount of depth to them and it's fun to learn their stories as you get to know them better. 🙂
- I've played a lot more Faster Than Light than I should've, but damn, it got addictive real quick. You manage a spaceship which is fleeing a rebel faction hell-bent on controlling the galaxy. You fight other spaceships to collect 'scrap' to exchange for goods, acquire crew, level up your spaceship - but be wary, if your spaceship gets destroyed, you have to start ALL THE WAY FROM THE BEGINNING. Good luck. 😉
I can't think of anymore video games for the meantime, so I'll bring it to...
TABLETOP GAMES!
- I'm REALLY into Dungeons and Dragons lately since it's literally the only tabletop game where the only limit is your imagination. I'm currently playing an insanely charismatic (albeit with the wisdom of a potato) Half-Elf Bard by the name of Handsome Harold who LITERALLY insults his foes to death. Pretty badass, no?
- I play Settlers of Catan every so often just to get that diplomacy action going and get the occasional sneaky backstab. 😉
- Trivial Pursuit just because I like to drop knowledge bombs (did you know that giraffes have the highest blood pressure out of all animals?)
- And one of my favourites, We Didn't Playtest This At All! As its name implies, it was most definitely not playtested at all since you can cards which make you instantly win (given certain conditions are met), unfairly sabotage other players (or yourself, for that matter), and even... MAKE YOURSELF LOSE WITH ONE SINGLE CARD! Just because why not.
Well, I feel like that was a long enough post. I think I should get back to my work now... 😐 ENJOY!
TL;DR I play a lot of video and tabletop games, here's a list of them, I need to get back to work.
My current obsession is Overwatch, not gonna lie.
Other games I love? Anything LEGO, seriously. Lego Star Wars, Lego Harry Potter...they're cute and funny as heck. Great for people like me who have OCD and really love to collect things. Life is Strange if you like getting your soul crushed...Anything Zelda (Breath of the Wild is amazing)...I also love the Uncharted series (playing through them with my boyfriend, the first two are INCREDIBLY glitchy and it makes for a great laugh).
Also the mass effect series - I've yet to play a andromeda tho (I done have an xbox one atm)
The army of two games are probably my favourite fps and great Coop
Fable - I don't remember how many nights I spent black smithing all night instead of studying.
The dragon age games storyline is amazing, so many choices
Elder scroll games best open world games.
Assassin creed games started awesome but I think they stretched the series too far tbh.
Going back to classics I will always remember the fun I had in Kotor, best star wars games ever
So many other awesome games (yeh I'm kinda a nerd, well actually that's obvious)
Mass Effect yaaas.
Don't talk to me about Assassins Creed. As soon as they got rid of Ezio it really lost it's spark for me. I think they're trying too hard to get more games out and I'm just not digging the storyline anymore (what story line tbh.)
Hmmm...haven't been able to find much time to play lately, but one of my favourite games that I remember playing in the past year was probably Ori and the Blind Forest. Great classic Metroidvania/platforming gameplay paired with a strong story (told without a single line of dialogue a la Up's infamous prologue), an incredible soundtrack and some lovely art design - it had me hooked pretty much immediately.
