No I was doing an electrical apprenticeship until just over a year ago, I did three out of the four years of it. Now I'm doing a landscaping and construction apprenticeship which I'm about to finish my first year of @Stealth_ninja I love it, it's heaps of fun and the trade school work isn't as full on

Oh wow awsome! That sounds really interesting, do you get to be creative a lot? I'm glad you're enjoying it! @j95

@Stealth_ninja yeah I do get to be creative and that's why I like it! At some jobs we have to follow a plan, there's something exact that the customer wants, other times we get a rough idea and can make it look awesome. I'm only a first year so I spend quite a bit of time digging holes (I once got go stand in 5ft deep mud holes, it was actually fun) and collecting everyone's lunch 😛 I'm looking forward to starting my second year this month because it means I can step up, take some more responsibility, look after the newbie, heaps more opportunities and it means I'm a quarter of the way!

@j95 That's awsome! Congrats on being a quarter of the way! I think its so amazing that you have found something that you love and enjoy doing. A lot of people go their whole lives without ever finding it. Good on you for sticking to your guns when everyone doubted you, that's so hard to do and not many people would have had the courage to do it.. and look at you now! In line to get your very own NEWBIE! Very cool. Smiley Very Happy

Thanks @Stealth_ninja I know that four years of training is a long time but I love it, it's four years of hard work well spent!

I feel your pain @Poison1999 maths is the worst!! before the job I'm in now I had to do a really high level of maths at tafe as part of the course (electrotechnology) and my highest level of maths I did in school was like year 9 general or something. I think I cried every single class. As @Stealth_ninja said music can sometimes help but it depends on how you learn, so maybe try it and see how you go.

@j95 wow electrotechnology sounds really interesting! Is that what you're doing now?

@Poison1999 - definitely agree, you need to find what works for you! Might be good to also break up the exercises and study something different in between.

A lot of people made fun on me when I said I was leaving school to do an apprenticeship, like I was so some sort of derro, but it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

@Poison1999 I totally feel your pain. I struggle with Maths as well. Have you tried playing some music in the background while you do it? I find that can make it a bit better. 🙂

@j95 the poor puppy Smiley Sad It must be difficult having to see Bailee's sadness while you miss Friday so much already.

A distraction could be a good idea? I know it would only be temporary, but it might offer a little relief from sadness

Redhead: I've slept all day but I still feel tired. And because I've slept I haven't been able to do my assessments 😞 at least I can do them tonight (if I don't fall back to sleep)
