Monday!
It's Monday, Sometimes looking at the week ahead can be scary, overwhelming and busy. I like to get my diary out and write out my week ahead with uni times, work hours and other activites to help my anxiety and overwhelm.
What are your strategies?

Ahh I love this question! Sometimes I can so overwhelmed if I have a really busy week ahead, sometimes it prevents me from getting to sleep because my mind is going a million miles. But I try my best to plan plan plan. I used to think I wasn’t leaving any space to be spontaneous by planning so much but I actually started to plan free time where I could be spontaneous and realised I don’t love being that spontaneous anyway hahah. I usually note all my work times, appts, meetings etc in my calendar at the beginning of the week and then plan out on paper all my other work and chores. I sometimes plan it to the hour because it relaxes me to know I can fit in everything and get everything done. But I always leave space for things to go wrong and to have down time for self care.
Great question @statuscaring!
Hmmm... my strategies are to make sure I have everything written either in the calendar on my phone or in my paper diary. I also try to make a weekly and/or daily to do list.
Having introvert time as well as social time planned out helps me to stay on top of my mental health for the week as well 🙂
This is a great thread/question @statuscaring 🙂 I can definitely relate to feeling overwhelmed on a Monday! I also like to plan out my week using a diary to record things that I have to attend (eg work, uni, volunteering, social catch ups). I like to use a separate note book to create my 'to do lists'. I read recently that writing a time estimate next to each task can be helpful for setting realistic goals and breaking them down into 'uni', 'self-care', 'cleaning' or any other category that you find helpful 😄
I like the suggestion from @Saltwaterdreamtime and @Esperanza67 to write does the exciting activities first so that you can look forward to those - great idea I haven't tried this before.
@letitgoso true - scheduling in introvert time is another thing I should start doing!
haha yes can be frustrating waiting, but can also make the week come around quicker.
It's Monday again!
I think easing into the week is important for me. This morning I had a coffee catch up with a friend before work - was a lovely start to the day!
@statuscaring awesome thread idea! 😄
my version of a Monday is Saturdays usually, because i work weekends and need to amp myself up for that frequently. So i really love taking some time on Fridays to chill, do things i enjoy, and get ready for the next day. Then on Saturday mornings i listen to music that gets me up and ready to go 😄
