Well, how lovely to read everyone's comments!! Makes me feel totally open to share that I am loving my current life situation which gives me oodles of nurturing me-time.... I do feel so grateful for it! as i know it won't last forever with uni and work starting in end july after we return from overseas...

I spend WAY too much time these past few months enjoying the energy/vibe/cosiness of being at home, I get to be so much more in tune with myself without the regular stresses say up till xmas last year.

Yep! not feeling guilty one bit, for getting to take care of myself more this year!

@Mermaidgirl6 I can relate to a lot of the things you mention. It nice to just relax at home and be with yourself. Its also a bonus that now I have a bank account that actually has some money in it 😛 haha!

The only problem with that is I get too much sleep. Which apparently is just as bad as not getting enough. Totally sucks because all through high school almost every night I got almost 10 hours sleep and now I learn that nope! Too much sleep. Yay for me. And I absolutely struggled with studying so with that triangle, as much as I would prioritise good grades and enough sleep I have epically failed on all of them.

Well...

@N1ghtW1ng yeah I know what you mean, if you sleep too much it can sometimes have a negative effect on your body.

but i don't think you have epically failed! remember thats what this chat is all about, its okay to fail, it means we just go back to the drawing board and try and find better balance in regards to sleep and good grades!

@bessie94 thanks. I can personally vouch that too much sleep can be bad for you.
Now that I've graduated, I suppose uni is the next chance for me to have good grades. But the reason I've never focused is because I struggle with focus and even if I failed, there are always other pathways to get where you have to go.

Good grades and enough sleep, if i had a social life I would probably choose the social one hahaha, but atm i'm completing a course online and would rather have good grades to that then anything atm, I get cranky without sleep, but other than that I love my sleep rather then social.

If I had to just choose two, it would definitely be social life and sleep. Sure good grades are beneficial, but, personally, I believe social life and a good sleep routine are instrumental in helping you stay happy, healthy and live a life worth living.

If i somehow found out how to not pick "procrastination' as what i do 90% of the time, im sure I could fit study, sleep and good grades XD

Could you say, @jvkn , that you can't have good grades anyway - without good sleep and a happy smile from a bit of good socialising? Or am i making good excuses lol? ;D

originally posted on 01-06-2015 8:37 PM

@Mermaidgirl6 haha that's true, this triangle is just a bit of fun to see what you would prioritise out of the three-- you definitely can have good sleep, good grades and a good social life! 🙂

I agree with @Mermaidgirl6 - I think all three and instrumental in maintaining good mental health, and you can achieve it with prioritizing the important stuff

originally posted on 01-06-2015 8:37 PM

@Mermaidgirl6 I suppose it also depends on who you are personality wise. If you are an outgoing person, then getting at least a little bit of socialisation can be good for you. But if you're not, then a social life isn't as important to you.

In the interests of Life Balance, I can't get ANYTHING done well if I don't have my sleep, and connect with other people.

Even tho I savour and value my me-time to relax, recoup etc - I thrive when I stay in touch, feeling connected, with friends/boyfriend/family...

Social life and good grades.  Occasionally I'll binge sleep and catch up

Last year I wasn't even on that triangle at all. But ideally, I would be located smack bang in the middle of the triangle. In thermodynamics, it is referred to the quasi-equilibrium. Well, sort of.

My entire life can be described in one sentence: It didn't go as planned and that's okay. ツ

@stonepixie wouldn't it be nice to be somewhere in the middle of that triangle!!

@bessie94 it would be so good! But I only managed a credit average at uni.
