What do you like about the new upgrade?

NOTIFICATIONS. Also I think it looks a bit sleeker and more modern. I also like that it's fairly similar to the old forums in the layout and the way it works, cos I don't really like change 😛 I love all the stuff on the right hand side of the home forums page, especially who's online, and the latest posts, as opposed to just the latest threads as it was before. Overall it's super great, well done to everyone who made it happen 😄

What do you think can be improved?

• With those pop-up notifs, if they could have a little noise accompanying them that would be cool. Often I'll have RO open in one tab and cat videos open in another, and when I'm watching cat videos, having a sound tell me that there's a party going on over at RO would be handy (obviously this is not a major problem lol).
• Also with notifs, I agree that having more specifics, like which thread was replied to, like 'lokifish replied to last post wins' instead of 'lokifish replied to a thread you follow' would also be cool.
• Having page numbers down the bottom. That's one of the main differences I've noticed that I don't super like. I have to scroll to the top of the page to go to the next one, which again is not a major problem.
• Seeing the difference between read/unread posts. On the old site it was really easy to see visually because threads with unread posts were bolded, and threads that you'd read everything from weren't (mostly with the 'Newest threads' thing down the side).

Are there any other features you'd like added to the website?

• I like the idea of adding more emoji's, especially ones like the pride flag and the indigenous flag, that would be neat.
• I remember a while back there was a Facebook live stream involving RO and puppies, that I wasn't there for, but sounded cool. People were worried about it not being anonymous enough though, and I think it would be cool to have like the ability to live stream or do similar cool stuff in the RO website.

How can we make it more accessible/relatable for you/your peers?

• Big loud colourful in-your-face 'make a new thread' button on the home page. I think often people coming here for the first time can be scared to ask for help or have maybe never done it before, and having a really obvious way to make a new post would help a lot I think.
• The anonymity thing is something I've been thinking about too. I have a few friends that I think would benefit from the forums, but I would then feel kind of uncomfortable using them myself 😕 Not sure how to find away around that.
• @Ben-RO There is literally a ReachOut.Com sticker on a locker door near my locker, so I think your plan is already a thing 😛 Making it really obvious and everywhere in that kind of way though would be great though, because if I'd known RO existed, I'd have jumped on it a lot earlier. Young people are the target audience, so those Spotify ads are ideal. Maybe YouTube ads could work in a similar way? I'm not sure.

How can the ReachOut forums best help YOU???

They're doing a pretty good job already 😛 I guess just being a safe anonymous space where people can share stuff.

As a side note, is anyone else having trouble identifying threads? I'm kind of finding it hard to tell the threads apart. As in the pinned threads, unread threads and so on. 😛

Otherwise, it's nice. Part of me likes it. Then the other part of me (the part who hates change :P) doesn't. But that part will get over itself eventually 😄

This is a suuuuper trivial one but what about a wider range of emoticons to brighten up the chats a bit? Maybe that's just me though, I use emojis and gifs when I'm talking to friends literally non-stop
