I don't know I just feel like I always say the wrong things @Sally-RO especially here and I should shut up now because somebody will get offended

Open conversations are always not easy to handle - look at one the personality qualities of RO being "disruptive - we don't mind challenging convention". If you do ever say the wrong thing it's a part of our job and I guess the RO community to say something to keep in the RO guidelines to be respectful so please don't be too hard on yourself @j95

No it's not the guidelines ..... @Sally-RO maybe I'm just sick of it, I can't say a single thing and that's why I don't even post as much as I used to..... I said I was frustrated and that.is.why .....

I can talk for a bit if you want @j95? I'm going to bed soon though, sorry. Or start a new thread if you like 🙂 As long as you're within guidelines I'm sure whatever you post will be fine.

It's about all this stuff with Mum @DruidChild it just fucking sucks, a lot.
To be honest I'm not going to bother making a new thread, no matter what I say it will be too distressing, I just can't get it right

@j95 ultimately you can't be responsible for what other people feel. Provided it's within guidelines (and maybe just a quick trigger warning in the title) if someone chooses to then read it knowing it may trigger them then that's on them. And I say that as someone who does sometimes get triggered by stuff on here - it's my responsibility to know my limits. I know you're going through a lot of shit with your mum right now and that really sucks 😞

I'm really sorry I didn't reply to you last night @j95! I fell asleep on the sofa Smiley LOL

The situation with your mum does sound really distressing and sucky 😞 I'm sorry you're going through it right now. How are you doing this morning?

Would you like to nominate yourself @Thylacine?

I'm still kind of pissed that uni and the dentist have cheated me out of a steady workshop job (and I could've just rescheduled the dentist but no, I didn't) Fingers crossed for next term and the holidays though! 🙂
In other news, my sister got engaged. She's overseas at the moment (in the snow! I'm so jealous) and her boyfriend asked her to marry her and she said yes. 🙂 I'm happy for her.

Yay congrats for your sister @N1ghtW1ng ðŸ™‚

It sounds so frustrating with that unfortunate timetableing! At least you've done one workshop now, so the people know you and hopefully you'll be able to get some holiday or term two work! 🙂

Would anybody be willing to start a "Ask me anything" thread? 🙂

Come at me! With your question...

Yeah it was sick @letitgo the waves were huge! Multiple waves and 1 dislocated shoulder later, safe to say I had a pretty big weekend!

Thanks @DruidChild yeah they just cost and I'm not sure if I really need it right now. I'm taking a little but I'll be back out in no time. My mates are still out there, have been since like 7am haha I'm too unfit for that 😛

Yeah it's for grip, less wax = too slippery, more wax = more fun and more staying up on waves. You can get different types depending on the water temperature, but it doesn't really matter that much. I'm thinking of getting a back food traction pad which helps keep your back foot from slipping but probably not yet. @DruidChild

@loves netball Smiley Tongue

Ah makes sense @j95. Having something to stop your foot from slipping sounds really helpful - more staying up on waves that way, too, I'm guessing? I hope you have lots of fun surfing today 🙂
