This is a place to make small talk and chill out while talking to other young people on RO! 🙂 From banter to small talk about the weather, to sharing something that made you laugh today, this is the place to hang out with your peers and chat!

How's everyone doing this morning?
I'm loving autumn, I had such a pretty commute into the RO offices today. It was really misty when I left home, and it was so peaceful watching the world go by from the train... I've also been loving all of the flowers out at the moment and the beautiful autumn leaves. It's my favourite time of year for sure!
I've been trying to cut back on my coffee consumption a bit so am trying to fall in love with other hot beverages lol. I used to drink lots of chai but find it a bit sickly sweet, so having lots of tea instead. Lady Grey is my favourite.

hi @lost_Space_Explore5 sorry it's taken me a while to respond, I still haven't quite figured out the new RO and getting notifications about posts etc. YUM i love fruit tarts! I work at a cake shop and they have the best fruit tarts ever! What is your essay on?
Unforunately no no pets 😭 trying to convince my parents for the past 10 years, I think I've finally convinced my mum! What about you?

It's nice to see you here, I think I might make this little cafe one of my regulars 🙂 I'm imagining some nice bookshelves as well, maybe with a few second hand books for browsing? And lots of tables where you can work for as long as you like without having to guilty buy too many coffees!
I'm having an actual coffee today, this GIF reminds me of super crazy coffee art I saw in Japan. Coffee didn't taste the best but it was super cool! 
To answer your question - yep, I have 2 cats, they were both rescues and are both indoor only, very pampered ex-strays these days!! They were fostered together but they're not actually related. Would love to have a dog one day but we're not quite there yet. How about you?
Hamilton, omg I don't know where to begin! @Hannah-RO is another fellow hamfan, it's a pretty hard one to explain in a way that actually conveys what it's like- Lin Manuel Miranda wrote it, and starred in it originally. He's done a crazy range of stuff, including songs for Moana, was in Mary Poppins, and has done a bunch of kinda urban musicals where he uses all types of music (hiphop/rap/ traditional musical theatre type stuff/ pop)- Hamilton is the story of one of America's founding fathers. But all of the characters (except for one) are played by people of colour (the Australian cast is the most amazingly diverse and insanely talented group of people), the music is super contemporary and it's just v v wonderful , especially to see live.
If you have time I'd highly recommend going on youtube and looking at some of the performances the cast has done over the years, mind blowing, and the musical really does hit pretty much every emotional note there is.

@Janine-RO I actually did go to a cafe for lunch with the fam earlier today! I had a decaf 'iced caramel macchiato' (I have to avoid caffeine). I have two cats too! There is a big age gap between them- the older one is from a pet store but the younger one is a rescue! They are both so different! One is super affectionate (he's a tuxedo cat- His name starts with M) and the other is more aloof (she's got a white and tortoise shell coloured coat- her name starts with A)- but they're both my babies ❤️ (I get paranoid about saying my cats names on here) We also have two fish- saying their names are fine because not many people would know them- that swim around outside in the pond. Honestly they've been replaced so many times that I've forgotten their names 😆 RIP the original goldfish barnaby and blizzard who lived long lives and even survived a great hail storm many years ago. I think the new ones we've named sebastian and eliza but I could be wrong. We've never had a dog but I consider myself an auntie of a dog that frequents the op shop I volunteer at. He'll sit on my lap and snooze and distract me from work (cheeky boy!). He also barks at me if I don't give him pats 😅 My uncle used to have a dog too and he was so lovely. And I will have to look into hamilton at some point!

My monday is going okay, now that I've arrived at the cafe I think I'll be much more productive with my uni work 😉 Currently drinking a English Breakfast tea (saving the bean juice for a late night grind), listening to some rex orange county trying to write an essay. How are you going?
Love that you're listening to hamilton music! I've only seen half the Disney+ version, I definitely need to watch the whole thing, but it was on my friend's account, but I loved the 1st half! How was the show in real life? Hope you got to drink your coffee today hehe ☺️
@celestialdreamer i love a good cup of english breakfast tea, especially if it's a proper leaf tea. So satisfying! How are you tracking with your essay?
The show in real life was UNBELIEVABLE! I'd also seen the disney plus version which was great, but really doesn't even come close to the energy and general awesome-ness of seeing the show live. The Aussie cast is incredible, just so wildly talented, and it's a fantastic production. It was such a thrill to get to see a big live production again too (obviously there were lots of checks/ everyone wears mask etc)- can't recommend it more highly! I hope your Tuesday has treated you well 🙂
