Today I'm Grateful For..

Last year I kept a diary everyday of the year. At the end of each entry, I would write down one thing I was grateful for that day. Looking back at it makes me appreciate a lot of things that I often forget about.

 

So, today I am grateful for my guinea pig Toffee - who unfortunately passed away yesterday aged 6. I got to spend an amazing 5 and a half years together with her. Thanks, Tof!

I'm grateful for the chat with Miss H during the time I was shifted from one teacher to another to fix a mistake on my BOS enrollment

I'm grateful for Mrs K's hummor while we were getting our yr12 group photo taken, she was absolutely hilarious! 😄

I'm grateful that the Area Manager of the company my mum works for has been really supportive of my mum lately about issues she was having with the Centre Manager.

(Makes things less stressful for me when mum's not coming home stressed about work)

Today I'm feeling really grateful for how amazing 2013 has been so far, and for all the people and experiences that have helped to make it so. I've learnt and grown a lot, and I think things are only going to get better from here.

I've been focusing on gratitude lately as well - it's amazing how many great things there are in life, even when things seem overwhelming 🙂

 

I'm grateful for:

  • Strangers who are willing to listen without judgement, even though they don't know you
  • My beautiful dog and the 13 years of memories we've shared together
  • Organic fresh fruit
  • Clean drinking water
  • Toilets (seriously, there's about TWO BILLION people who don't even have a toilet that flushes...)
  • My mum and her continual strength throughout everything
  • Hugs
  • Being able to access an education
  • The internet and all of the amazing people/knowledge you can find on it
  • Having a roof over my head

@MM, reading that I feel like I'm at a similar level right now 🙂

Today I have just felt so insanely calm and relaxed I'm loving it 😄

Today I am grateful for
- the people who have helped me over the last couple years and everything they have done
- the smile on my mentors face when I asked to talk to her and instead surprised her with a thanks you letter and a gift. I am very grateful for her help and seeing her reaction was like a massive warm hug 🙂
- the long indepth conversation I had with her and another teacher as I went on my quest to sign out of school 🙂
- for my mum.
- for the lovely breeze that is still surrounding me and has been for the past half hour 😄
- for the beauty of nature. Right now I am looking at a spider web and am quite amazed by it! 😄

Today, for some unknown reason, I am feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. Just generally, for the world. So I'm going to share some, because expressing gratitude is great too 🙂

Today I'm grateful for:
- the sunrise I witnessed this morning.
- the people I've met and come to know in the past year who have made me feel so welcome in my new community.
- birds.
- sun.
- bicycles.
- the opportunity to grow food and share it with people at the farmers' market.
- plants. seriously - photosynthesis is amazing.
- yoga.
- my doctor for giving me stretches to make my shoulder and back feel better.
- family, friends and love.
- finding a sense of balance in life.
- opportunities to pursue things I love doing.
- the colour yellow for being so full of life.
