What are you proud of?

I don't think we've got a 'What are you proud of?' thread on this forum yet so I'd thought I'd start one. This was one of my favourite threads on the old forum 😄

I'm proud that I stayed at uni all day today and didn't skip any classes.

Over to you guys: What are you proud of? 🙂

Today I am proud because I:

- downloaded some apps onto my new phone

- cleaned my room (well tried to anyways)

- made some quizzes/mind maps for biology and ancient history

- popped over to office works and got some stationary

- had a chat with my cousin over the phone

I'm proud of myself for pushing through yesterday despite how shitty and anxious and afraid I was feeling. I ended up having a good laugh, so it was nice. (plus my dad's fluffy jacket, which now belongs to me, is the best comfort item ever)

I'm proud of myself for still taking these new meds. I'm notoriously bad at taking medication so I really hope that they pay off in the end (they're supposed to help with my chest tightness, caused by anxiety and stress that my mind seems to be oblivious to, or is ignoring)

I am proud of myself for following through and seeing this other GP today. I was quite anxious beforehand and had a really strong urge to bail when she started to run late! But I got through it and I am proud of me for persevering!

I am proud of me for getting through the interviews for Headspace today, I wasn't anxious about them, but a few things occurred that caught me, but I still acted in a professional and object manner which I am proud of 🙂 I am also proud of how open and honest I was with the manager and lead agency representative about an issue which arrived, and how I handled it with poise and maturity. I proved to myself that I am very capable today!

I am proud of myself for following through with the mentoring session this morning despite my anxiety flaring up as soon as I entered the chat! I was able to pursue through text-based communication which was nice 🙂

That’s great @Bee! 😄

I’m proud that I’ve managed to stay relatively well this week given all the stress that I have been under, and that I’ve managed to maintain self care boundaries. This is a major achievement for me, as that is the first thing that usually goes out the window.

@mrmusic go you awesome person! Boundaries are a tough one so it's great that you've been on top of them 😄

I'm proud of myself for going to the training day at uni today. I know I've mentioned it about twice already but it turned out to be a really good day (and I wasn't too anxious!)

I'm proud of how well I was socialising at the party yesterday. I've mentioned this elsewhere, but it all felt so easy and natural and yeah, it was a really big difference and achievement to me.

I am proud of myself for opening up more to my psychologist. This is session #2 I haven't had to rely on email or stuff I've written down beforehand! I'm so proud that I have finally reached this point in my recovery because while my session was emotionally tough, I am showing myself that I want recovery and that I CAN talk about the tough stuff and I can accept help! ❤️ And I know 100% I wouldn't be here today without the continual support from my mental health team and you guys! All of you! You are all the best

I finally replied to Headspace with my info stuff for an appointment (using my other name instead of my legal name, let's see how that goes)

Only took me... four months 😛

Amazing work @letitgo @FootyFan26 @N1ghtW1ng Smiley Very Happy

I told my mum about a movie I watched that was so intense it made me cry, even though it's usually really hard for me to be open with her about my feelings.

I'm proud of myself for popping back into specsavers today when I was in the plaza just to inquire if the girl had chased up where my glasses were as I hadn't heard from her. Turned out they were in store, so I'm guessing they came in the delivery they got just before I went in yesterday 😄

Fair enough @j95

I'm proud that I managed to do some self-care by colouring in and watching a tv show when I was feeling really down.
I'm proud that I was able to focus for a little bit to do some study, even though it was only two exercises, it was better than nothing and I got them mostly right, I learnt a bit more.
