Today I practiced self care by...

Hello people of RO Smiley Happy

I wanted to make a thread where we could all keep track of our self care and encourage each other to take care of ourselves.

Today I practiced self care by taking a break from my assignment for some fresh air. How did you practice self care today?

Today I'm packing to go on my holiday to Sydney on Monday, and I'm trying on my clothes to see what outfits I want to wear. Trying on clothes to make outfits is satisfying, but takes a lot of time.

Good thing I have all day to practice my self-care afterwards! I might go swimming later!

Today I practiced self-care by reading back through my threads and taking note of all the wonderful suggestions and advice this community has shared with me so far. I've been needing a boost and the reflections provided the support I was looking for! 😊

Excuse the shitty photo quality, but here are some of the things I noted..

I hope you guys are also able to find them helpful ❤

@MB95  I really love the idea of writing down all of the different ideas that you've had from the forums, how awesome to see it all there 🙂

Today I practiced self care by walking the long, scenic way to work, and I'll do the same on my way home - I took some time out from social media and listened to a long form podcast instead, it made me feel much more refreshed and ready to start the day. So nice to feel a bit of rain on my face too!

omg, that's so amazing, what a great idea! I love me a good brainstorm too, it's so inventive how you condensed so much information on the thread in a way that is useful and relevant to you! Go you!

Today I practiced self care by actually getting out of bed and not getting back in. (although it was an accident, kinda, it still happened and it counts)

Also, I had milo for breakfast instead of nothing.

I practised self care by not staying up really late to do homework. I can be stressing but I'm proud of myself 🙂

@Charlie22 I love baths too, I always put a bath bomb or some Epsom salts which makes it more relaxing.. I think i'm going to do the same tonight after work 🙂
Thank you for the inspiration!

I'm definitely jumping on this bandwagon later today. Epsoms salts are the best for a relaxing bath! Smiley Very Happy

Today my self-care was walking in the sun to the train station instead of using the tram. I tried to use all my senses while i was walking.
-I smelt a flower
-noticed the beauty of the river I walked next to
-listened to the cars and trams passing
-tasted the tooth paste still lingering in my mouth
-felt the ground beneath my feet

Swimming always makes me feel so much better about life, @xXLexi_Lou122Xx. Maybe I should go for a swim tonight, you've inspired me!

Today I practised self-care by watering my houseplants. Watching them grow nurtures my soul.

Today I practiced self-care by painting my toe nails, doing a face mask, cleaning my room, calling my mum and going to the movies/dinner with a couple of my workmates.

I've been struggling alot lately and haven't practiced self-care in a few months or connected much with anyone but after reading some of the posts on RO I was inspired and reminded of just how important self-care really is so put the day aside for it and am so glad I did 😊

so much fabulous self-care! WOooo

My self-care the last few days has been taking some time out to just relax with some colouring in. I photocopied this from a book from Rita Berman, and I've had so much find just colouring. It's not finished yet, but it's felt so fun!

I've also practiced self-care by taking time off work and utilising the full length of my doctor's certificate from work. I have stressed a couple times about taking the time off, but something mum said to me last night made it feel right "what is more important; work or your health?" Obviously my health! 🙂
