Awkward Moments

Hey R.O guys! XD

Let me ask uz a question ==> Have you been in a very awkward moment? I have! Here's a list in fact, share yours any time! ;D Love to hear them!

1) I was randomly looking around the room in SOSE, and just when I looked around I caught a boy full on staring at me, he didn't turn away when I caught him staring at me! It was so uncomfortable that I turned away, I think I blushed LOL!

2) It felt awkward watching a tv show my parents watch alone...  Cuz normally I would watch with them. My sister laughed at me when she caught me randoming watching it.

3) When you try to walk past a person and they block your way purposely, that happened to me like always and one day this random guy did this to me apparently knows my name!

4) When you realise people are looking at you alot and talking about you as they point at you.

Share yours now! 🙂

*scans rewards card* "item not recognised, please place item ..."
Me: Ah f*ck
Attendant: was that flybys?

It happens to the best of us, but is still oh so embarrassing and awkward.

So awkward, this afternoon I was driving to the shops and I started turning right when I realised I was supposed to be turning left, so I decided I would fix the situation but just turning around in the middle of the intersection, and then I was like stuck, because I was facing the wrong side of the road, I had no choice to but to do like a 300 point turn in the middle of the intersection, while these cars were just waiting for me to fix my complete stuff. I don't know what was going through my head when I thought that was a good idea.

when you pretend to hear/understand what a person says and then they ask "is that a yes or no?" errr

Continually trying to put a note in the ticket machine for the train and failing, only to realise you've been trying to use the debit card slot the whole time... Well done me 😛

@mimbochi

They are both pretty good ones!!
When I worked in customer service as my first job I used to always accidentally ask people if they wanted a bag instead of saying have a nice day or see you next time haha

This arvo my bus driver said "Good morning" to me when I got on the bus. I was gonna play it off like I didn't notice (I had headphones in so thought it gave him a good way out), but then he corrected himself like "Aaand it's not morning! Good afternoon!" By this time I was halfway up the length of the bus haha.

That awkward moment when your phone isn't on silent/vibrate in a really quiet place (like a religious ceremony) and it rings...and once it does you realise you forgot to change your ringtone to something more mature than 'The Final Countdown'.

Cue all of my friends and cousins snickering at me + my mum giving me the death glare 😧

So I haven't worked in customer service since my uni days (which feels like a lifetime ago now!) And while at uni I did work for a while in a cinema.

So yesterday I had to help out a friend in a customer service role and was clearly overly keen and told the first person I served "enjoy your movie".... met with a blank stare and an awkward half wave half cringe on my behalf haha!

Aaaannd my second awkward moment (this is from a few months ago but a real corker)...

So last year I really got back into fitness and was doing one of my first big runs (14km) in a fun run with my sister that was a darkness into light run meaning you run at the crack of dawn as the sun rises. Anyway I finished the run and was so pumped I clearly wasn't thinking and didn't lock the door properly on the portaloo! My sister was waiting for me outside the loo but failed to notify the poor woman who opened the door to me sitting there with my headphones on (cranking Rob Bailey obviously). And to embarasses myself further all I did was wave (why?!) and say "Oh... HEY!".

I hate it when you run into someone you know but haven't seen in ages and you literally have nothing to talk about.

Me: Hey how are you
Them: good you
Me: good, how have you been?
*face palm*

@j95 Oh man, I hate that too! It sucks when you have to decide whether to either A) actually be polite and engage with some more small talk for a few minutes or B) shuffle away because it was just too awkward

HAHAHA omg so today I wanted to call the supermarket and check they had a product in for me so I did and they said "yep its been put aside for you" so I went into the supermarket and said "hey I called up about the dip and you put it aside for me" and they checked with all staff members who had no idea, they asked me who I spoke to and I said who it was and they all thought it was a liar or something, and they didn't have the product in stock. Anyway, I left, a little bit annoyed then got in my car and realised it was at the wrong IGA.

@Myvo @j95 It's even worse when you bump into them again like 15 min later. I don't why but I always give them some goofy smile and a head nod. I don't even know what that's supposed to mean? Maybe "Yep, we just saw each other again". Worst.

@Myvo yeah the walking isn't the hard part, it's the chasing after her!

So awks when you drop your phone and it smashes and everyone sees but have you pretend it doesn't bother you and stop yourself from crying
"It's only a little scratch"

@j95 that's the worst! My dog does that too sometimes and it's so annoying because she's a speedy little thing.

Was listening to my ipod on full blast at a cafe this morning waiting for someone to meet me for a meeting, and the scary looking guy walking past was pointing and making random arm gestures at me so i smiled politely. Afterwards I realised my work phone had been ringing and I hadn't heard it haha I felt pretty bad as he looked scary but was obviously a nice guy!

I was walking my dog, who pulls quite a lot and really just wants to run around. Some people walked past me and said "looks like hard work??" And while trying to gain control of her I was like "nah, not at all actually" within about 10 seconds she had broken off the lead and run halfway down the street. They just laughed.

@j95 Oh dear, I hope that walking your dog becomes easier over time! Sounds like she gave you a massive workout Smiley Tongue
