Creativity / Community Art
So recently we had our community art chalenges, which were awesome! (even though I only did 2 of them) I loved seeing everyone's art and it inspired me to do a couple. In our last thread a few users were talking about having an art thread, I thought I'd take the initiative and make it tonight, as Ive been feeling rather arty tonight! haha.
Links to our community challenges #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7
Without further ado, show us what You've been working on we'd love to see it.
I'm going to start off and post tonight's work. I was feeling frustrated, and for once felt like expressing it creatively. I just did a simple tree to get me back into painting as I haven't painted for years! Here's the result 🙂
I might share some of the art is I feel like it (and remember :P)
How is everyone else's creativity going?
@N1ghtW1ng my creativity is laying low right now, but I love watching everyone else post, so I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
Here are 2 of my artworks, but I can’t post the other one, which has two outfits. The other one is “too big”, and I don’t know how to reduce the size of the file.
But these are the ones I’ve done! 🙂
These are brilliant @xXLexi_Lou122Xx , I especially love what you've done with the colours in the sky in the second one there. You are so talented!!

I have another one, but it won’t load... 😞 oh well! I’m working on another one, and I’m turning the mosaic look, into a blended colour picture. It will look amazing when it’s done! 😄
It’s supposed to be a self-portrait, but it looks nothing like me or identifies me. The art style is a version of Del Kathryn Barton’s work, but also mixed with my art style too. I drew it to send a message to anyone who sees it, and that is: Some people can be perfect at one thing, pretending everything’s fine, but underneath, is a mess of misery and depression, and scars. Asking if someone is okay, is one of the best things you can do.
I have a whole story behind it, but I won’t type it because it will take forever. I’ll just email the pic through, before I post it, just to make sure its okay to post.
hey @xXLexi_Lou122Xx ! I haven't gotten your email yet I don't think, but let me know when you send it through!
Let me just load these art pieces I did over the last term, and you all can see some blended but nicely done artwork!
This is what I used to think of myself, and the lyrics to a song called "scars to your beautiful" not sure who the artist is though.
It was inspired by all the words and pains that girls go through, particularly when it comes to girls who love who they are, but get brought down by all the other people around them. Saying that they don't belong, that they shouldn't even be alive.
I have personally been through this experience.
But the song I have loved for so long, but not my all time favourite, has finally motivated me to make this drawing, and then post it.
As I wasn't allowed to post those words, I had to make a counter picture. Those lyrics fit in perfectly!
Hope you all enjoy this piece!
// You are worth Something, not Nothing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise //
I agree with @TOM-RO such beautiful handwriting!
Alessia Cara is the Artist who sings Scars to your Beautiful 🙂 I looove her voice!
@Tay100 I love that, admiring others' works is a cool self-care activity. Maybe we could create a space for admiring artists' works?
It took a while, as the blending took forever... But it was fun, and it got me out of cleaning my room for another day.
Yes, I have posted it on my thread before. That way whoever isn't following this thread, and they are on my thread, they can see it. Saves me linking the thread too!
Blending does take forever! I try to blend as I go along for big areas and make my colouring as smooth as possible to avoid having to go over it to smooth it out 😛 Or the good ol' trick of rubbing the pencil colour shavings into the paper works too for lighter patches 😛
It just so happened that the community challenges were all visual mediums
and what people have posted 🙂
But by all means if you've built an awesome shed or made a sculptures than
share away 🙂
After all creativity and art are so broad

(Email reply because I'm too lazy to log in right now 😛 )
