Short Sads
Hey everyone!
I reckon we are so good at supporting each other and this section of the forum is an absolute testament to that. A place where a lot of people reach out for help for the very first time ever and it's pretty awesome to see how great you all are at supporting people through that.
Life isn't just full of big new tough things though. Things don't just get better as soon as we start out on our path to recovery, it's called a path for a reason, there's many steps! And sometimes we can stumble a bit and you know what, that's okay :).
A couple of weeks ago I made a thread to celebrate our achievements together. And @tsnyder made an awesome one for us to talk about the new things we're exploring in the world too!
This thread is kind of like the dark side of those threads - but it has a silver lining!
This is a place to let us know about something tough that you're going through and -this is the important bit- for us to support each other through those tough bits, to remember how to turn negatives into positives and to work on finding solutions together.
If you're feeling like you're stumbling a little or like you might fall, i want you to come here to let us know about it and to draw on the AMAZING support you folks give each other.
So post here with the smallest fear or what feels like the greatest failure and we will support you with everything we've got!

@Bree-RO @roseisnotaplant thanks. I'm just upset because I did everything right today and I spent heaps of energy trying to help someone in my class with her assignment and someone else with her relationship problems and I can't stand living in this house anymore but nobody will cut me a break or help me. I did everything they tell me is healthy! I ate three meals and I didn't let myself throw up, I had social contact, I exercised, I drank lots of water, I studied, I watched my favourite show, I helped other people, and now it's night and I still feel completely empty and completely alone. 😕 I know I'm just whinging but IT'S NOT FAIR.
@Bree-RO I just can't feel anything and I want to feel something so yeah I am probably going to end up self harming.
@DruidChild it sounds super frustrating that you've done everything you could to take care of yourself (and help other people too, which is very impressive) and yet you're still not feeling great. Am I right?
How about you wait 5 minutes before turning to SH? Jump on the games thread, maybe? And then if you make those 5 minutes, you can wait another 5. How does that sound? One moment at a time

Hey @DruidChild what's going on for you? Pretty concerned about SH , are you planning on going ahead with that?
@redhead being confused about whether something is a hallucination definitely doesn't make you stupid - like everyone else mentioned, it's totally understandable. How are you feeling today?
@Creativegirl12 so sorry to hear you're not feeling so great, but it is nice that you were able to pick yourself up a bit. It is definitely important to let yourself feel emotions instead of blocking them or ignoring them, and hopefully you have some strategies in place if things get a bit intense
I feel totally broken. There are no words for this. Nor can I explain this.
It was totally reasonable to be worried last night, not stupid at all @redhead - I'm glad it turned out just to be a mouse, though. How are you doing today?
