Good TV shows/movies!!
Holidays are just about to come up after my uni exams and I've got some mad cravings for binge-worthy goodness. I love all genres, do you have any recommendations?? 😁😁😁
omg you should watch death note (anime). dude its literally the funniest shit ever : )
If anyone is planning to become a therapist/counsellor/psychologist/any counselling professional/just curious, I 1000% recommend Couples Therapy on SBS on Demand! It's very real and interesting to see what happens in the therapy room.
I recently watched still walking, a japanese movie, and it was hella beautiful
That sounds awesome! I hope the movie showed a lot of cherry blossom trees as they are sooo beautiful ! I'm not watching too much at the moment, but keep finding myself watching Brooklyn Nine-nine when I am bored (and should be doing uni work) so maybe that counts!
Before that I was watching Never Have I Ever and Kim's Convenience on Netflix. Would definitely recommend both of them!
@xXLexi_Lou122Xx I love The Good Witch series! Such a sweet show, are you up to date with the episodes now?
I just finished rewatching Grey's anatomy up to the end of season 13, and started watching the old Veronica Mars series 🙂
Recently I saw the Frozen II movie and it wasn't too bad, to hang out and kill time it works
I just recently started re-watching suits! Every time I watch it I love Donna more and more! Her emotional intelligence is off the charts
Has anyone else gotten into the One Chicago tv shows (Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med)?
Thats pretty good @paolalopez118! I haven’t seen it yet, but I hope to soon! 🙂
Has anybody been watching Selling Sunset on Netflix?? Its a Hollywood real estate show and I find it so cool to see all the multi-million dollar houses for sale. Nice to watch when you just want to zone out!
Hey everyone! If you haven't guessed what this thread is about... read the title again 😂.
In all seriousness though, what are your favourite movies of all time? I'm curious as to what people are into and see the suggestions. I'm into all kinds of movies so leave all kinds of suggestions below!
Have a good day everyone! 🙂
Hi @kittykat30 and thank you for making this awesome thread! I need movie suggestions in my life at the moment!
I used to loveee the Batman movies (the old, old ones and the new batman triology). I also love a good rom com (Just go with it- one I could watch again and again).
Marvel movies- Thor and Captain America had great movies! From DC, Wonder Woman was great! Fast and the furious series is a good watch, Harry Potter, and Now you see me.
And anything with a historical storyline is a winner to me! Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, etc
What are your go-to movies?

Also, How I met your mother is good. Lonnggg but good. House MD is always a fave of mine!
My personal recommendations are Silicon Valley and The Americans. The former's a comedy show about four guys trying to launch a startup in the eponymous tech hub - it's chock full of humor and nerdy awkwardness...and quite a lot of factual accuracy as its writer Mike Judge, was actually in the tech industry prior to going into the film and TV industry. It also has Zach Woods in it, and I'm pretty sure that guy is my spirit animal.
The Americans, on the other hand is...uh. Not that. It's a show centred around 2 Soviet sleeper spies in Washington during the height of the Cold War. The twist? They're also parents, and their kids have no idea that they're spies. Oh, and also their new neighbor is an FBI agent. Which I know sounds sitcom-y as all hell, but believe me it's not. It's dark, intense, gritty conspiracy/psychological thriller elements are spiked with odd bouts of sharp, decisive action and plenty of well-balanced political commentary on the history of that period. There are no real "good" or "bad" guys in the show, and the characters are often just doing the best they can to help themselves and their countries survive. Everything from the writing to the characters is phenomenal. Well worth your time, if you don't mind how incredibly dark things can go (I'd probably rate it as being slightly to moderately darker than Game of Thrones). Oh, and TW's for sexual assault in the pilot episode, although it's not a big part of the series, thankfully. (In the event where that might be triggering but you'd still be interested in the show, I'd just recommend skipping the pilot. It's a decent pilot, but hardly required to understand the rest of the show.)
Oh, and last but not least - Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Hilarious, on-point comedy designed to inform you about important social issues ranging from mental health to global warming, to income inequality, student loans, civil rights, abortion, torture and...there's been like 100 episodes I'm not going to be able to list them all. Point is, you'll laugh, and you'll learn. What's not to love?
