I smiled because...
It only takes 17 muscles to smile but 43 to frown
Smiling is infectious,
You can catch it like the flu.
Someone smiled at me today,
And I started smiling too.
Did you smile today? Tell us why
I'll start
Today I smiled because I was talking with my mum about past memories 🙂
Today, I smiled because my dog sat on my lap... she's not a small dog. She's cheeky
@scared01 that is such a great reason time to smile, one that made me remember when I loved playing on the monkey which made me smile again today. I also smiled earlier because I finished my studies for the day and felt good about the progress I made for my now almost completed assignment
well done on finishing your studies for the day too. cn i ask what your studying atm?
@Bee Smiling is infectious but a great medicine haha. I smiled today because I got to read a book I have not gotten the chance to for a while.
Today, I smiled because I saw a turtle whilst out for a walk.
Awww @WheresMySquishy I absolutely love turtles! I always get ridiculously excited when I see them in the wild 🙂
One thing that made me smile massively was realising that this thread has been going for EIGHT YEARS, and has had almost 12 000 views!! @Bee I think it's amazing that your thread has been going for this long, and it has made so many people smile and reflect on the good stuff.
I also had a cat related smile - my slightly dumb cat was so happy to see me this morning that she rolled over on her back to miaow, stretched a bit too far, and fell off the bed. Pretty much exactly like this.
Your post made me smile, as did that kitty gif
Lmao 🤣 @Janine-RO Cats are so funny
And then they just play it off like nothing happened and they meant to do that
I smiled because my cat is being particularly needy today - a bit annoying but V cute
I smiled recently because....
- My boy cat has decided the last few nights that I'm the best seat when we're in the lounge, he will come up to me stand on my legs then curl up, or he'll climb up as though he wants to be cuddled and must rest his head on my chest or near my neck.
- my girl cat has found she's allowed to sit on two waist high bookcases in the hallway. She gets pats and will meow, purr or pur-meow as she does, and try to smooch me as I walk past so she gets patts and attention. It's so adorable
- I played peek a book with her last night as I went to my room and hid around the corner. Everytime she saw me she did a pur-meow and looked at me with her tail high. It was so adorable. There's a taller shelf thing between where I was and her so she was peeking around it and it was just adorable
- @lokifish tag in Friday fives - those emus are so adorable
- a phonecall yesterday asking if I'm still interested in a position I applied for and asking me to come in for an interview.
- my psychologist when she asked about my colouring in. (Thinking maybe I should just take one of my books it to show her 😂)
- the conversations with my colleague this week. She's old enough to be my mum, but we get along ao well ❤
- when I manager said goodbye to me before I finished work (as she was going out of the office to do another job)
Today I smiled because I've finally pushed myself to do something I've been putting off. And turned out it was super easy and fun to do!
I smiled because I got through the day stress-free and assured of love by my family and boyfriend
@marksmith09822 That sounds difficult.. do you want to make your own thread to talk about it?
I love showing off my Hogwarts House! 😛
