Today I practiced self care by...

Hello people of RO Smiley Happy

I wanted to make a thread where we could all keep track of our self care and encourage each other to take care of ourselves.

Today I practiced self care by taking a break from my assignment for some fresh air. How did you practice self care today?

Spending time with my partner and doing a financial planning session. I really needed to understand my finances better and he helped me. I'm so grateful.

today I practiced self care by doing some deep breathing when I was feeling overwhelmed, talking to some work collegues about general life-was good to just be 'normal; having a cup of tea and watching a movie that I like at the end of the day

Today I practiced self care by not setting an alarm, because I don't have anything major on today, and letting myself sleep in a little and wake up naturally!

woke up half an hour earlier to do something that had been giving me a little anxiety for the last week because I haven't had time to get it done - then i did it, and the anxiety went away as well! Yass.

Today I practiced self-care by spending some time alone in my room to regroup after having a lot of social activities over the past few days . Us introverts need to recharge!

Today I had a stressful morning at work and then a stressful afternoon at uni and i was feeling very overwhelmed on my way home and already had my to-do list going for things i wanted to do when i got home. Instead i went for a walk along the coast and came home, had a long shower and Netflix binged for a while and now I feel so much better and much less overwhelmed Smiley Happy

Sounds like you were feeling very stressed from morning until late afternoon, but you were able to identify this overwhelm. Very jealous you have access to the coast to be able to go for a nice walk ,how relaxing! Netflix is also a great way to switch off your brain. I'm glad to hear your feeling much less overwhelmed now

Today, I practiced self-care by doing some reading in bed.

It's not very glamourous but it definitely does the trick in making me more relaxed.

I've recently started reading Savannah Brown's new book and I am loving it!

Today I practiced self care by coming home from a big day at uni and taking some quiet time to myself by reading a book and also listening to some of my favourite music at the moment, I usually however, tend to watch an episode or four of whatever I'm enjoying at the moment. I like to 'reward' a big day with at least doing one thing I enjoy and that doesn't take up too much energy for me!
