I wanted to make a thread where we could all keep track of our self care and encourage each other to take care of ourselves.

@Gbear I like your self-compassionate mindset... I'm much the same, I'm doing self-care by just doing my best to make sure I actually keep busy with fun things so I don't get to bored.

... requesting extensions for my uni assignments. 

 

I have been struggling with balancing both my study and employment workloads. I figured it would be better to spread out the workload a little, as it's my final week of uni for the year, and it's getting very hectic, and somewhat overwhelming.

Good on you @shawn21 , balancing uni, work, and life in general can be super challenging at this time of the year so it's great that you took that step! 

 

Today I practiced self care by planning a super easy dinner and early night!

Today I practised self-care by coming home from my partners early and taking the afternoon slowly, having a cuddle with my cat and spending time with my family.

Not feeling guilty. I wasn't in the right mental state to do any of my assignments and homeworks, and I didn't feel bad for not completing them 🙂

Today, I practiced self-care by packing some picnic snacks and heading to the park for the afternoon. The weather was too good to pass up a day in the outdoors, and the warmth of the sun and a good book was a perfect relaxation technique!

Today I practised self-care by making myself a cup of coffee before studying. I tried oat milk to make this latte and it tasted good 😉

What a great thread! Today I practised self-care by allowing myself to not be productive and veg out on the couch in my pyjamas! 🙂

Today I practiced self-care by playing some chill music, lighting a candle and watching bit of TV after I got back from work and uni.

This is a fantastic Idea JanaG! Taking care of yourself is the most important part of maintaining and managing your wellbeing. Personally, painting gives me the utmost happiness- it's my way of self-care.

Today I woke up and the first thing I did was meditate. Taking 10 minutes out of my morning to be present with my thoughts, enhances my productivity and memory for the day.

Today I practised self care by letting myself sleep in after staying up until 2am to finish an assignment so I could take the day off!
